The Best Life

"Make eating right easy."

Snack on low-calorie, high-volume foods like fresh fruits and crunchy vegetables instead of chips or cookies. You'll be able to eat more, for less calories and fat. At meal times, fill half of your plate with vegetables. The other half should contain a lean protein like chicken or fish, and a whole grain starch like brown rice. Keeping these foods in your house will help you eat right at every meal.

In addition, keep in mind one more important factor: Drinks. In fact, about 21 percent of calories Americans consume come from beverages.

So, you should try to limit your intake of caloric beverages or make the switch to lower-fat, lower-calorie options, like a bottle of water.
