The Best Life

"I'm a great believer in the power of water."

That's because it's critical to your health. (Your body is made up of 60 percent water, after all.) Good hydration helps maintain mental and physical performance. Remember, water is essential to your body, and it's a great beverage if you are watching your weight. Plus, everything works better when you're properly hydrated, and that includes digestion and metabolism.

For my family and me, staying properly hydrated isn't too difficult. Water is the beverage we find most refreshing and satisfying. We each have a glass of water with every meal, and I often carry a bottle of water with me when I'm on the go. My two-year-old is probably the best of all of us. She always asks for water —she loves it! It's great if you can instill healthy drinking habits in your children early; that way, you can help kids avoid falling into a bad habit of drinking too many sugared beverages.
